oh, i have a blog!

well people...
I guess its time for my annual update!
i've failed horribly at keeping my blog updated.... i blame jackson. :)

so um i dont even know where to start updating. theres so much to update about!
lets cover the basics....

I've worked at the preschool for 7 years. This summer I worked at a rental properties office for a week and quit to take another job after realizing i couldnt work with that group. i dont know about anyone else but i can handle yelling and cussing daily in a work environment... so i left and began working part time as a receptionist at a doctors office. Then when August came back around I started back at the Preschool. Working 60+ hours a week became normal to me. October came around and I had several interviews for drafting jobs. i accepted one and quit my 2 jobs.... for pretty much a lie. everything i was told this job was, was a lie.... except the money. the money was good but i learned quickly that the money wasnt worth it. after 3 weeks of living in a hotel working 12-16 hour days without days off and not knowing when i'd be able to go home at all.... people were telling me that i'd probably just leave there and travel to the next job... if i got to go home itd only be for a day or two maybe. so one night i called the manager who hired me to discuss everything with him. he cussed me out and told me i was calling him a 'gd liar' long story short - i went home that night. because our god is so wonderful i got a phone call 3 days later from the head nurse at a local surgants office saying id been refered for an opening and shed like to interview me  the next day. the following week i began working. so i went from working 60+ hours to 90+ hours to 30+ hours a week. ive been on a job rollercoaster to say the least but ive learned from every bit of it.

jackson got a new vechicle. we drove it to the mountains in dec for his family christmas in the mountains trip. but we decided to go 2 days early to have more mountain time.  i had wednesday off so we left tuesday after we both got off work and drove until we got there. we stayed in a mountain lodge hotel for 2 nights until his family got there and we joined them all in a huge cabin called the mansion in the sky. we had so much fun! we went to winerys, to the dixie stamped, cades cove... my favorite thing that happened on the trip....

theres a huge christmas ornament store. last year we went there and bought christmas ornaments and got 2 personalized ones. we decided to make it a tradition to get a personalized ornament every year for christmas so jackson and i went back this year of course. we spent over an hour in the store. when we first walked in the first ornament i fell in love with were 2 snowmen holding a heart that said 'just engaged' since it was silly to buy an engaged ornament before we were engaged i didnt consider buying it. i walked to the wall where the couple ornaments we bought the year before were and they were all just married just engaged or families. so we walked around the store and picked out ornaments for gifts and i was going to check out when jackson asked if i'd found ours yet... i went back to the wall where the couples ornaments were and showed him that they were all for married people or engaged people and we werent either so we couldnt get them. he huffed and said to hurry up and just find something while he went to the bathroom. well he walked one way and i went another way... and just wondered for somewhere else... after he went to the bathroom he came back to find me and said he'd just help me find us an ornament.... he took me back to the same married people wall of ornaments and told me to just look for something.... i said 'baby im not buying us a married or engaged couple ornament! we arent married people!" he said just look. so i turned around in a corner to look and he says my name so i turn around to see what ornament he found, but instead i turned around to see him down on one knee holding a diamond ring he asked me to marry him and i asked if he was serious. the rest is a blur of shock! lol.

excuse my horrible nails and for some reason my hand looks strange in this picture but heres my ring! :)
then, to the right is where he proposed... we staged this picture later on and they were actually people around that time and everyone thought he was doing it for real.

So of course we bought 'engaged' ornaments :)
