Marcie asked for more info about the basement so I'm gonna inform EVERYONE about it!
- I've been going since Feb. of this year. They meet at 7pm the last tuesday of every monday at The Church of The Highlands in Bham on Grants Mill. If you've never been too an "intense worship" then you arent ready for this. I wasnt. But i love it! heres pretty much what goes on...
- People start lining up outside around 6pm or earlier
- they open the doors for people to get in around 6:30, but everyone has to wait in the lobby of the church.
- at 7 the doors are opened to the worship center/sancuary... at this time everyone who is packed back the doors takes off RUNNING to stage at the front... kinda like a concert. If you arent okay with standing right by the stage with people jumpin around like crazy then you can find a comfy seat.... i'm pretty sure its the biggest church i've ever been to in my life.
- The first probably 30 or so minutes is worship... intense worship. They want you to get pumped up and YOU WILL!!! Someone once told me something that totally changed my mindset on worshiping, How can people go out to bars, parties, friends houses, bowling, anywhere really, and be "pumped up" loud, excited, energetic etc. about WORLDLY things... but then go to church sunday morning and be DEAD during worship.... Why cant people be that excited to PRAISE THE LORD??? The first time I ever went to the basement i stood up in front of my seat, sang along, observing everything.... the other 2 times i went i was right in front of the stage jumpin and singing loudly PRAISING MY JESUS!!!! sorry, i got a little excited explaining that lol
- after worship you find a seat and Matt Pitt gives the message, along with; watching a short video, and an AWESOME skit!
- its usually over around 9-9:30... its your personal decision after the message if you want to continue to worship, go to the alter, or go home... lol whatever God puts on your heart!
I probably didnt do a great job explaining how amazing it is. Its impossible to not notice Gods presence there. If you live anywhere near here you should definitely plan to check it out! :)

YAAAY! Ok I know so much more about it now. The website was so confusing to me. I've got a couple of girlfriends that want to go so we'll have to figure out when is a good time for all of us. Can't wait! Thanks for sharing!!!
